SportsSpectrum.com is where sports and faith connect.  Founded in 1985, the organization produces a quarterly magazine and free podcasts, devotionals and online content for sports fans who believe in Jesus or are curious about Jesus.

Challenge:

Sports Spectrum wants to increase signups for its 10-day devotional series written by pro athletes. The brand’s target audience is women and men ages 30-60 who lead busy family lives taking kids to school and extracurriculars. They like sports but also prioritize spirituality and finding role models who aren’t shy about their faith.

Solution & Strategy:

I wrote and designed spec pieces for Sports Spectrum to reach this marketing goal - a lead magnet and welcome email.

The body copy is benefit-driven, telling the target audience that they’ll receive 10 days of devotionals to launch their family prayer life to new heights. A clear, specific call-to-action button Get the Devotionals lets them know exactly what will happen when they enter their first name and email address.

A welcome email delivers the devotionals, warmly welcomes prospects, and shows subscribers how to use the devotionals in their life. Subject - Your Free Gift is Here! Snippet - Open for your 10 devotionals
